St. Louis & Zelie Martin
France | m. 1858
Louis and Zélie Martin married in 1858. Louis was a watchmaker, Zélie owned a lace business, and their home was full of love. When the Martins lost four of their nine young children, they suffered with their eyes fixed on Christ. After Zélie's early death, Louis faithfully continued to lead his family. The five Martin daughters all became Carmelite nuns - you know the youngest as St. Therese, the Little Flower!
