St. Dominic Charm

Dominic lived in Spain around the year 1200 and held a deep understanding of the arts, theology and spirituality. Seeing a need for change in the way the Church reached out to people, Dominic established the Order of Preachers (often called the Dominicans), who are great teachers, theologians and philosophers. Contemplation (pondering the mysteries of our redemption) and activity are pillars of their order, calling all Dominicans to a life of prayer and action.
