Saint John Eudes was born in 1601 in Ri, Normandy, France. Ordained in 1625, he preached over 100 parish missions and founded several monasteries. Canonized by Pope Pius XI in 1925, he is the Patron Saint of Missionaries, missionaries, the Diocese of Baie-Comeau, and fallen women and prostitutes. His Feast day is August 19.
