Mary Magdalene is infamous for her name as well as her possibly checkered past. What many people do not know about Mary Magdalene is that she was present at the foot of the cross and was the very first person to whom the resurrected Jesus revealed himself! Although her full story is still a bit of a mystery, Mary Magdalene is beloved as an “every-woman” who, like all of us, was a sinner. But despite her human weaknesses, Jesus welcomed her into his closest circle of family and friends.
