St. Christopher spent a portion of his life carrying travelers across a dangerous river. One day a small child asked to be carried across. As St. Christopher crossed the river he felt the weight of the child grow heavier on his shoulders and staggered under the burden of the weight. It was only by great exertion that St. Christopher safely delivered the child to the other side.

St. Christopher asked the child why he was so heavy and the child replied: "You had on your shoulder not only the whole world but Him who made it." The child then vanished.

This is a reminder to never give up and the you can persevere through anything. God is always with you and in all that you do.
