Jesus in His Burial Cloths

The Death of Jesus and the wonder of His Resurrection have come down to us not only as related by the four gospels but also by two photographic almost undamaged images from April 9th of the year 30. There are two burial cloths. A linen cloth in Turin and a veil of mussel silk in Manoppello. In the linen cloth Jesus lies as a dead man, naked and tortured. In the veil of mussel silk he looks at us as a living person and completely healed. The images are colourless and inexplicable. Both cloths however confirm the Faith of Christians like no written text can do.
