Prayer to St. Peter
O St. Peter you are the Rock upon whom Jesus built His Church. Be the Rock who keeps me firm in my faith, steady on my way to heaven and strong in times of trouble. Your loyalty to Our Lord, your ceaseless efforts to spread the Gospel, and your courage in facing your own horrific death give us a shining example of what it means to love God with your whole heart, soul, strength, and mind.
St. Peter, I know you can sympathize with those of us who fall short. When you denied Our Lord three ties, you wept bitter tears of remorse. But you came back to Jesus, and you tried again. Give those of us who sin grievously the courage to confess our sins, amend our lives and try again. Let us always remember that, while we live, we can run back to Our Lords Jesus who is mercy itself St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles, pray for us.
